Breydon Made a Friend. :)

I went to college with a girl who has a little boy who is right around the same age as Breydon. She was in town so we got our boys togetehr for the first time... just because we thought it would be fun to see them together. We always talk and compare to see what they are doing so it was fun to see them next to each other. Breydon was very excited to see a little person his size, but his friend didn't know what to think about it. :)

I wish I had more friends with kids Breydon's age, because he reallllllly does like to see other babies.

Then this morning BEFORE lunch, I went to the OBGYN to get everything checked out. My bp was 114/78. Im done with my blood pressure medicine!! Hooray! He gave me prenatals to take so that when Michael and I decide that the time is right to have baby #2, we are already set to go. Yay!

My little man has FINALLY decided that he's going to roll. He did it once on Thursday, but he didn't do it again so I thought that maybe it was just a fluke. But on Friday, he was off!! Rolling clear accross the room, scooting around getting into everything. I love it! Its so cool to see him decide what eh wants, and then be able to get there. It makes me soooooo proud to see him learning new things. He'll be crawling in no time... he's already trying to figure it out.

Easter was really fun. I remember last Easter, I was showing my family a video of my 11 weeks gestation, non-gendered, unborn child in 3-D/4-D. This Easter, that tiny 11 weeks gestation, non-gendered, unborn child was 8 months old, and rolling all around the floor. :) He didn't really understand the concept of Easter baskets, but he still got 3 of them. We would set them in front of him, and he would get excited... but he would get one thing out and not realize that there was anything else in there. He's already watched his Easter Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD about 58795875 times. Its a hit.

Mr. Breydon has asthma... I dont know if Ive mentioned that or not. But anyway, he has a nebulizer and some medication that helps. Sometimes he sleeps through them... sometimes he screams like he's being murdered. It just depends on his mood I suppose. But they REALLY help, so Im thankful that we have something to help. When we got to the doctor last week, he was having so much trouble breathing that his blood oxygen levels were only at 82%. If he was in the NICU, the alarms would have been all going off. Anyway, it was 93% when we left so all was good.

I have an appointment with Dr. Howard at the Womens Center on Wednesday. I guess Im going to figure out if Im healthy enough to have another baby anytime soon. At my 6 week check up I wasnt cleared since my BP was still elevated. Im still taking medication to help it, but we were wanting our kids to be 2 years apart. Which would mean that I really need to get things figured out within the next few months. So Dr. Howard said that we could make a sort of "plan of action" for next time, and maybe come up with some things to do differntly to help prevent problems. Ill most likely be driving to Ft. Wayne for all my appointments with baby #2 just because thats where the specialist is. I dont mind, because Dr. Wheeler got Mr. Breydon here safe and soundly. So I trust him. :)

Thats about all I can think of...
More later!

Monday.

Today, has been the worst Monday, of ALL Monday's.

It started around 5:00 this morning. I rolled over, and moved my foot... and I felt something cold and smushy. Im not used to feeling cold and smushy things in my bed. Ever. So, I woke Michael up and had him turn the light on. We found that our dog had decided to barf in the bed. Wonderful. The best part was that it was cold... meaning that it had been there for a while with us sleeping by it. Gross. So then we took of the sheets and put different sheets back on... but Breydon woke up. So at 5:30, Breydon was up and ready for the day, as wide-eyed as could be.

Last night Breydon had started wheezing real badly, but I just passed it off as his reflux ((which can sometimes sound like wheezing)). But this morning it was worse, so I just called his doctors office and talked to a nurse. She could hear him wheezing in the background and asked me to bring him in within the hour. So, in we went. The doctor listened to him, and then wanted to do a breathing treatment to help him be able to breathe. It didnt work. He is breathing 2x faster than he should be. His pulse ox was 99% which is good. But I have to take him back to the doctor for the next 2 days to make sure he's not getting any worse, and to make sure that he doesnt need the hospital. They will also try the beathing treatment again to see if it will do anything for him. He has RSV... the sickness that he's been getting shots to prevent since November. Poor kid. :( At least he's still smiling. You can always count on him to be a happy boy.

When we were in the waiting room before he saw the doctor, there were a few other little guys his age in there. He was really fascinated with one of them... he was talking, and smiling, and screaming at this little guy. :) Then he would turn to the other baby and talk and smile at him... He's my little social guy. Just like daddy, making friends with everyone.

All of the sudden Breydon feels huge. Like, I woke up one morning, got him out of his crib and took him to the living room and to change his diaper and stuff. And when I picked him up again, he just felt huge! Solid. Not at alllll like a tiny baby. :( It makes sence I guess... now that he's sitting and lots more active he would be gaining muscle. But still. It was overnight it seemed. I have one of those red cross baby scales here at home, and it's always been right with the pediatricians scale. Accoring to that, he weighs 21 pounds and 3 ounces. How can that be!? He was only 19 pounds and 15 ounces a month ago! Mike also go the tape measure out... he put a book at his head and a book at his feet. Accouring to that he's also grown an inch. I guess we are doing the whole growth spurt thing again. Which, again, makes sence since hes eating 10 ounces every time he eats. :)

I went to the family doctor today. I have these beautiful bright red welts on my face. They were worse yesterday... my right eye was half swollen shut. Lucky for me, today I can indeed open it up all of the way. I have been used to having these spots all over me, but its hardly ever on my face. So I figured that it was time to get it taken care of. For real this time. So, to the allergist I go in a few weeks. Im not scared or nervous or anything... I obviously dont WANT to get poked over 100 times with needles... but its OK. Its a good thing that I got lots of shots when I was pregnant with Breydon! Now Im a pro. :)

Vacation is verrrrrrrrrrrry soon! ((okay, maybe not very soon, more like a few months away) I am SO excited to take Brey to play in the ocean, and to play in the sand with him. I hope he isn't scared of it... I know it will be all new to him. The good thing though, is that he's not a baby that gets scared or overwhelmed very easily. Hes just like his daddy. :) So hopefully he will just be wide eyed for the first little bit, and then warm up to all the new things.

Just a bit of a flashback/comparison to where we started to where we are now...
The day he came home... 12 days old.

And a week or so ago.

Slooooooooooooooow it down baby Breydon!

Can I just say that I love my family MILLIONS??

We just got back from Akron. It was a great time!! I wish we were going back this weekend... but I guess Easter is close enough. :)

This morning's events though, have left me FRIED. My gramma, Brey's great gramma comes over on Tuesday and Thursdays and watches him for a few hours for me while I go to class. She is always alway always on time. Never late. If anything she's quite early. I normally leave the house by 8:00. When is was getting close to 8, I started getting nervous, so I got Brey's stuff together ((just in case)) and tried to get ahold of her. No such luck. So, at 8:10, I packed us up and headed for my midterm. I got ahold of my mom on the way and she came and held him while I took my test. It ended up working out, but I was so worked up and stressed that I have noooo idea how I did on this midterm. But I think it went well. Im hoping that Breydon was my lucky charm :)

Pshew!!!!

We just got over our first ear infection. That was brutal. If he wasn't knocked out by the Tylenol with Codeine his peditrician gave him, he was screaming. We actually had to backtrack about 7 months, and wake the poor little guy up to eat, otherwise he would have slept through all his meals. Gradually his fever went down, and we started giving him less and less Tylenol and now we are good. Thank goodness, that was the worst week of. my. life. Plus I just hate seeing my baby in pain, knowing theres nothing I can do about it.

Yesterday he was being especially cute... so mommy did a photoshoot! Here are some shots from yesterday:
